Powell’s endorsement

Colin Powell’s endorsement will help Obama only with the same people who were impressed with Windsock Wesley Clark’s stamp of approval.  Powell may have been registered as a Republican, but I’ve never met a conservative who thought he actually was a conservative.  The only other Democrat I recallr Powell endorsing is former VA Gov. Wilder, who is also black, but of course, race has nothing to do with it.  Powell’s incoherent reasoning for his support for The One was painful.  As David Limbaugh said, where are the inexperienced white liberals Powell has endorsed?  It made Powell look weak — not, I think, quite the image the Obama campaign sought.  They’re flogging the get as a way to attract independents.  Maybe the Pentagon types, but not the retired grunts, who seem to think his tenure in the State Department swamp brought out his worst tendencies.  They’d be more impressed with Joe the Plumber’s endorsement.  And did anybody mention that Obama’s own campaign treasurer owes a lot more back taxes than Joe?
