Nikki’s kicking it…

leave a comment »

After Pres. Trump concludes his second term,  I’d like to see a Pence/Haley ticket.   Former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley,  now the U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations,  is a formidable lady.   Though she is younger and more attractive,  she has the steely strength of America’s first female U.N. ambassador,  Jeane J. Kirkpatrick,  and the ability to deliver a hot soup of truth to her corrupt colleagues who feast on words and moral preening.   She just offered up precisely such a dish  on the  hypocrisy of the Arab states on the Palestinians.   She didn’t scold or sneer,  she just laid out the brutal truth,  stripped of hypocrisy and and posturing.

A velvet hammer…

leave a comment »

There is a reason Nikki Haley stands out at the United Nations.   She is graceful but ferocious in her representation of American interests and Western values.   She has become Pres. Trump’s  velvet hammer  there,  and a remarkably effective one,  and in the manner of the late Jeane Kirkpatrick and  John Bolton, has not hesitated to ignore the cumbersome customs of diplomacy when it suits her.

She is in the business of  speaking the truth,  something seldom heard at that corrupt cesspool,  where most nation’s representatives either flee the chamber of slouch down in their seats as if trying to be invisible.  Haley tolerates no anti-Semitism from any of them,  and she publicly calls them out.  You will not see her pulling a Samantha Power and refusing to defend Israel.  Nor will you see her backing down.   The more she upsets the regular order,  the more pleased I am!

Just a sham…

leave a comment »

The U.N. Environment Program’s latest report says that  despite the Paris climate accord,  which gave a billion U.S. taxpayer dollars to the globalist cronies of His Oneness,  we are still doomed unless we all do much more.

The much more includes:  boosting renewable energy’s share to 30%; pushing electric cars to 15% of new car sales, up from less than 1% today; doubling mass transit use;  cutting air travel CO2 emissions by 20%; phasing out all coal-fired power plants;  and coming up with $1 trillion for “climate action.”

The new money is supposed to come from the USA,  of course,  and all of this must be done by 2020.   This is not merely impossible,  it is flat-out wrong.  China is not about to surrender its coal-fired plants and neither are the developing countries who depend on coal as a cheap energy source.  Those who promote electric vehicles fail to take into account that large swaths of the U.S. power grid are already unstable  — try California as an example,  with its blackouts and brownouts during peak demand times.

The entire climate science enterprise is a fraud,  designed to transfer money from the united States taxpayers to globalist crooks.   The acolytes of the environmental movement are people like actor Leonardo Dicaprio,  whose carbon footprint is enormous since he lives like a typical hollywood star and uses private airplanes as transport.  Yes,  the true green believers do try to live smaller lives, but most of them have never managed anything larger than a flower pot.  I grow fruits and herbs and vegetables for five families and I do it quite well.   I do not need someone who has killed every houseplant they were ever given telling me how to live my life.  I certainly need no advice from Al Gore,  who conveniently bought himself a fine house on the California coast despite the fact that by his claims it would be underwater in the near future.

Environmental claims are also a means to frighten the populace and exert control,  which leads me to say “green outside,  red inside” as a reference to the number of communists who were early adopters of the environmental movement for that very reason.  It’s little different from  progressives claiming that whatever damaging legislation they propose is “for the children”,  because that sounds so much more emotionally appealing than “this will give us more control over your life.”

The Paris agreement ignores two crucial points:  one,   that consensus is not science, and two,  that a theory’s test results must be repeatable.   The U.N. currently has over a dozen climate change computer models,  and yet,  no matter how much data is stuffed into them,  not a single one can spit out an accurate forecast for LAST WEEK’s weather.   The global warming enthusiasts have been caught lying and jiggering data repeatedly,  yet most of them still have their jobs,  and many of them swing happily from the government teats so they have no reason to practice actual science and many reasons to cheat.

U.N. misplaces capital…

leave a comment »

Israel is the only country without a capital city,  according to maps published by  the Cartographic Section of the United Nations’ Department of Peacekeeping Operations.   Apparently amateurs like the BBC and His Oneness settle for claiming Israel’s capital city is Tel Aviv instrad of Jerusalem,  but it requires the true professionals of the U.N. to completely erase any notion of  a capital city.

Ambassador Haley rips Security Council…

leave a comment »

For anyone worried that former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley wouldn’t be able to cope with the sewage pit which is the United Nations, she has  already blasted  the Security Council for its anti-Israel bias and for its abject failure to address the issues which are supposed to constitute its mission and purpose.   She obviously did her homework thoroughly and was not prepared to overlook the myriad of shortcomings at the international cesspool.

U.N. panel for reparations…

leave a comment »

A United Nations panel  is demanding  that the U.S. give reparations to African-Americans for slavery.   Alan Dershowitz has  it about  right in saying that the U.N. has no business lecturing the U.S.   For me,  as soon as the U.N. makes reparations for all the sexual assaults its peacekeepers have committed,  for all the innocents its peacekeepers allowed to be killed,  as soon as it shows it is capable of recognizing its own faults it will acquire some standing to talk about ours.

Who’ll run the cesspool next?

leave a comment »

The next UN Secretary-General will probably  be one  of the people featured in this article who hasn’t yet withdrawn.   I don’t find any of them fit to clean up this institution,  and several of them will undoubtedly only serve to make it worse.

My question is this:   Why would anyone of good character and sound mind and good intentions even WANT this miserable job?

Herbert London offers a clear look at the customary madness of the United Nations in  this piece.
