Chocolate lovers rejoice!

If your favorite chocolate had only half as much sugar,  yet tasted the same,  would you be happy?   I’d do cartwheels,  and the Nestle company has found a way  to achieve  just that by altering the structure of the sugar.   My taste buds and I will enjoy every extra morsel in a little more than a year,  but we will be the final arbiters as to whether the promise of the claims is met.

Side of embryonic cells…

leave a comment »

The news that some major food companies employ a corporation which uses human  embryonic cells for its research is definitely changing my grocery list.

I was born in the South,   so I never developed a taste for Pepsi, and I eat very little soy,  but I have purchased many products from both Kraft and Nestle.   They will be off my shopping lists until they follow Campbell Soup Company and sever their relationship with Senomyx .
