Helen Thomas dies…

Yes,  Thomas  was a trailblazer,  and yes,  she was sometimes a tough questioner,  but she was always  ferociously  anti-Semitic,  determinedly anti-American,  and loathed anything which strayed outside  her left-wing  boundaries.  For the past few decades,  she was simply a nasty old woman whose soured outlook on life infected anything she did.   This  is the quote  by which she should be remembered.

UPDATE:  Jonah Goldberg  has put it  more elegantly,  but just as plainly.

Stone cold truth…

Jonah Goldberg is  writing about  Oliver Stone’s new book  “The Untold History of the United States”,  co-authored with Peter Kuznick,  but he is absolutely correct that the left-wingers are boring.  They have had nothing really new to say in decades,  even though they pretend their regurgitation  of the same old garbage is new and exciting.   The old hats Jonah mentions can be found in a syllabus on many college campuses in the nation.

The left has long enjoyed an intellectual and moral status it has done nothing to deserve.  I am reminded of this every time I see some youth wearing a T-shirt featuring Che Guevara’s likeness.   Having been taught little real history by the public education system,  they believe the Cuban murderer was a rebel,  a freedom fighter.   Use your iPad to pull up  these 10 quotes  from Che which the left never mentions,  and you will have begun the rehabilitation of one mind.  I like them because they got me thrown out of a history course many moons ago,  because the professor couldn’t deal with the truth about his hero.
