Chatbot beats parking tickets…

The artificial  intelligence lawyer  has successfully contested 160,000 parking tickets in London and New York,  all for free.  Its 19-year-old creator,  London-born second-year Stanford University student Joshua Browder,  is pleased with the 64% success rate,  as he should be.

As for me,  I’m in favor of nearly anything that puts lawyers out of business and makes cities behave.

Digital estates…

This looks like  a potential windfall for estate and trust lawyers,  and a fine way to further clog up the court system.   It just makes my head hurt.

Politics of law…

I’m  not alone in thinking the departure of two Obama lawyers and the expansion of his personal lawyer’s purview  is not merely odd,  but a matter of concern.

My antennae always quiver when an administration is stuffed with attorneys without there being an obvious explanation,  such as Clinton’s impeachment.    I think that His Oneness and Our Lady of Perpetual Dissatisfaction got law degrees for the same reason both the Clintons did  —-  not because they loved the law and sought to serve justice,  but because they wanted to understand the law in order to circumvent it.

This attitude is the rule,  not the exception,  in the current administration,   and it poses a danger to our country and the Constitution.    We have already seen how much damage all the attorneys in Congress are capable of inflicting on we the people.
