NLRB has to pay up…

leave a comment »

At last the National Labor Relations Board is paying a penalty for its illegal behavior.   A judge has ordered the agency to pay a company’s legal fees  after finding NLRB engaged in “administrative hubris” and “bad faith litigation.”   It’s only  about $18,000,  but it’s a start.   Unfortunately,  the payment will be made with taxpayer money,   the agency will whine that the judge ruled incorrectly,  and the corruption will continue.

Shakedown Sharpton sued…

leave a comment »

Rev. Al Sharpton never changes — you have to give him full credit for that. Now he’s  being sued  for defrauding an Arizona man.   I hope the trucker wins,  but I’m under no illusion that Sharpton himself will ever pay a penny of any judgment.   All the cowardly corporations and groups which pay Sharpton protection money will ultimately pay it,  but at least it will be another strike against his awful reputation.

Rotten apples…

…don’t fall far from the tree,  as evidenced by Al Sharpton’s eldest child,  daughter Dominique,  suing New York for $5 million for  spraining her ankle on uneven pavement.

The December lawsuit claimed   “permanent physical pain” ,  but about the same time there were social-media shots of her in high heels,  and climbing a ladder to decorate a Christmas tree.   She is indeed her father’s child.

UPDATE:  She also managed to  hike up  a mountain while suffering.

A good question…

leave a comment »

A federal appeals court judge  has asked  an atheist group trying to keep the Ground Zero cross out of the National September 11 Memorial Museum how displaying the artifact is offensive and violates any constitutional rights.   American Atheists will probably have a monumental task in devising a response this judge will consider adequate.

This cheers me up…

The City of Chicago has  written a check  for over half a million bucks to the NRA,  to pay lawyers’ fees.  This is a lovely Christmas present,  even though the check isn’t made out to me.
