I’ve driven on some pretty hairy roads in my time, including some fire trails in Arizona, but I’m happy to say I’ve never set foot on any of these.
Last year, traffic highway deaths spiked, after four decades of steady declines. The main reason is all the smart phone apps people are using — from Snapchat to Waze to Pokemon Go. Distracted drivers are forgetting their main job, which is to drive their vehicles safely and considerately!
Assuming that your summer driving holidays are past, I can only hope you didn’t run afoul of any of the really strange laws on the books in our country. I venture to guess that few, if any, of them have been enforced in recent memory, if ever.
Who knew? Driving while stoned out of your mind is just as dangerous as driving when you’re drunk. The geniuses who run the state of Washington, and who approved the legalization of pot, seem astonished by this news. Did they not remember what happened in the 60’s and 70’s when all the potheads and hippies were on the road? Were they too stoned themselves to remember, or are they just too stupid now to grasp it?
This guy is a MARINE! And he is proving that grit and determination and a zest for life can literally put you in the seat of a racing car, even if you’re missing one of the legs you were born with. Oorah! Marine Staff Sgt. Liam Dwyer
This isn’t the first time we’ve heard of people taking sleep medication and not going to bed. Wasn’t that former Congressman Patrick Kennedy’s excuse? But this woman appears to be an extreme case.
