Blood Falls…

That’s the name given to the red water coming out of the face of Taylor Glacier into Lake Bonney  in Antarctica.   Scientists have discovered the water is colored  by  a bacteria  in the water,  which is now believed to be part of a larger hydraulic system connecting the lakes in the regions Dry Valleys.

Ghost mountains…

Did you know there’s  a mountain range  the size of the Alps buried under the Antarctic  ice sheet?   We can’t see them with our eyes,  but they’ve been mapped with technology.
