…happen to a more deserving guy.   Hossein Sheikholeslam,  the former Iranian ambassador to Syria,  has died  of coronavirus.   He studied at the University of California at Berkeley before becoming a leader of the radical Iranian students who stormed the U.S. Embassy in Tehran and took 52 American diplomats captive during the 444-day Iran hostage crisis,  which ended shortly after Pres.  Ronald Reagan was sworn in.   He is the second top Iranian official dead of the virus.

And there is another — Mohammad Haj Abolghasem,  a senior commander  known as  the ‘Butcher of Tehran’ for his role in the bloody suppression of pro-democracy protests that began in November 2019.   May there be many,  many more.
