Taipei,  the capital city of Taiwan,  has some rather interesting topography and other characteristics which make the strange weather depicted in this video fairly common in summer.   I can remember as a child watching a rain storm hitting the dirt county road that ran along the front of our farm,  with nary a drop falling onto our parched pastures,  but never the defined deluge you  see here.
