Beach returns…

33 years ago,  a storm washed away a beach on the island of Achill, in western Ireland.   Last month a  freak high tide  deposited tons of sand right where the beach used to be.

The most interesting thing is that sand on the Irish coast is always in flux and this isn’t the first time beaches have disappeared and then returned later.
