Truly American charities…

leave a comment »

Newsmax has put together  a list  of charities which perform in accordance with what we hicks in flyover country,  we deplorables,  will recognize as generally American cultural values.

I would not call it the definitive list,  and there are a couple I might have a small quibble with,  but it’s a good starting place for your charitable giving.

Dolly Parton steps up…

leave a comment »

Singer Dolly Parton is putting  her money  where her mouth  — and heart  — is by having her Dollywood Foundation establish a fund to provide $1,000 a month to the families in her area affected by the devastating fires in Tennessee.

Compare this to the big celebrities who make grand statements and do next to nothing.

If you aren’t aware of the fires in Sevier County, Tennessee,  this will give you an idea of the destruction.   Do note the one thing which survived the total loss of this home.

Here’s another  found treasure  which will astonish.
