Braw is a Scottish word,  derived from Middle Ages French for “brave”.  It now means good,  or fine,  or sometimes well-dressed.   Any girl  who would chase a sword-wielding would-be robber with only a plastic fork as her weapon certainly qualifies for the original meaning of the term.
