Thanks to Sen. Rand Paul for pointing out that the federal government spent $700,000  paying university researchers to determine whether Neil Armstrong’s remarks on the moon landing were accurately transcribed.   They learned nothing conclusive.

To add insult to injury,  the two grants were meant for studies on how to improve communication for people with autism or Parkinson’s disease, neither of which Armstrong had any association with.
