Hillary’s coronation…

with 3 comments

Remember the media forecasting utter chaos in Cleveland?   I’ll have a post on that in a day or two,  but remember the blissful coronation of Queen Hillary which was to be?   Now,  maybe  not so much.

For starters,  the Dems are  $2.5 million short  on the necessary funds to pay for the coronation.   The Philadelphia police have sent a blistering letter to  Hillary’s campaign about the published speaker’s list,  giving prominence to mothers of  men killed by police,  without similar respect for the thin blue line.

The party which derides calls for a fence on our southern border erected a four-mile long  fence around  the convention site,  making crystal clear their utter hypocrisy on the subject.

The trouble began on Sunday  when supporters  of Bernie Sanders marched,  shouting “Lock her up!”   They are  planning  more,  as are a collection of  other activists.

Nancy Pelosi  was booed  at her California delegation breakfast this morning,  as  was Debbie  Wasserman Schultz at the Florida breakfast.

The convention was gaveled in a short while ago,  and the only times the delegates have been quiet was during the music and the Pledge of Allegiance.   My conclusion is that this convention will be even more interesting than the one last week.   The Queen is having trouble getting her crown on…

  1. I get the impression that you don’t actually like Hillary very much.

  2. I have this thing against liars and cheats, and Mrs. Clinton has proven herself to be both. I once thought Democrats could do so much better than either of the Clintons, but they have managed to disabuse me of that fairy tale. Don’t get me wrong — I don’t like the Republicans either. I have long been an independent, but it has become increasingly difficult to find any candidate to vote for instead of against.

Can you honestly say you like Hillary? Or that you admire her? Or that you believe she is an accomplished woman worthy of your respect and your vote?

  3. Nope. I don’t like her. I don’t admire her. But she’s a politician. A liar by definition. The political landscape of any country is like a pendulum, swinging back and forth from conservative to liberal, back and forth. Problem is, The U.S. is still more conservative than just about any other democracy in the west. I’ll vote for her, because I think we need to be on a liberal upswing right now. Don’t get me wrong, I’d vote conservative if the political landscape was different.
