Research money wasted…

The National Institutes of Health has finally admitted something I’ve long suspected,  namely,  that most biomedical  research is  a waste of the 30 billion taxpayer dollars the agency spends every year on it.   Much of what it funds studies for is unnecessary,  employs flawed research methods, or is duplicative of previous research.   Some of it is just plain stupid —  think shrimp on treadmills,  for example.   So cut the NIH budget by that 87.5% which it’s wasting,  and then cut some of the employees in charge of approving this nonsense.
