Time for Thorns

An independent view on life.

Morley Safer, R.I.P.

Safer announced his retirement only last week,  and now   he has died after a long career in journalism,  most notably with “60 Minutes”,  which he joined in 1968.   He was the last of the original people featured on that show for many years.    The Canadian certainly made his mark in the industry,  and though his presentations tended towards lighter topics in recent years,  he did plenty of serious journalism during his tenure.
