Blood Falls…

That’s the name given to the red water coming out of the face of Taylor Glacier into Lake Bonney  in Antarctica.   Scientists have discovered the water is colored  by  a bacteria  in the water,  which is now believed to be part of a larger hydraulic system connecting the lakes in the regions Dry Valleys.

When the deep purple falls…

Nino Tempo and April Stevens performed a brother and sister  duet which made this song from the 30’s a Grammy-winning hit in the 60’s.   But the lyrics referred to nightfall,  not a  Chilean volcano  turning the sunset sky an eerie eggplant.
