William Levinson  has written  a barn-burner of a post about the black privilege enjoyed  by certain people,  and why it should be hurled in the face of the Left with its incessant whines about privilege based on skin color.   Levinson offers a set of examples which would be devilishly difficult to refute.

Pronounce “pecan”…

Since April is national pecan month,  it’s time for the annual discussion of how to  pronounce the name of this utterly delicious nut,  which happily consorts with all manner of foodstuffs in a lengthy array of delectable dishes.

This American nut can be difficult to grow,  as the tree has weak wood and long,  spreading limbs,  and is subject to various diseases  —  like everything else in the hot and humid South.   But,  oh,  what culinary glory when they produce these jewels!
