Obama’s mosque…

leave a comment »

I think it was on day  last week that  Robert Gibbs said His Oneness considered the Ground Zero mosque a local matter and had no comment.    That seems to have disappeared down the media memory-hole.

Now Obama is absolutely  in favor of the mosque,  a position he announced at the White House celebration of Ramadan.   Click through to the Frank Gaffney  piece Andy McCarthy references,  in which Gaffney memorably writes that by making his statement in  “the company of representatives of several of the Nation’s most prominent Muslim Brotherhood front organizations,  President Obama…publicly embraced the greatest tar-baby of his presidency.”   David Pryce-Jones found it just yet  more apology.

Debra Burlingame,  co-founder of 9/11 Families for a Safe & Strong America,  has  returned withering fire.   But,  hey,  His Oneness is on the side of a  whopping 29% of the American public,  which includes the hideously  misnamed religious Left.   If you’re interested in his complete remarks,  go  here.   For Robert Spencer’s dissection of the speech,  see  here.   Bill Kristol unloads on Obama’s  patronizing dismissal of mosque opponents.

Having been caught,  His Oneness is  now spinning it so that he was commenting  merely on the legality of the mosque.    These folks won’t buy it,  nor will most Americans.   Myself,  I like Greg Gutfield’s idea.  Be sure to read what was tweeted back to him.
