Sowell at random…

leave a comment »

I love Thomas Sowell’s  “Random Thoughts”,  which is what he titles columns which are just that.    They appear randomly,  and contain more wisdom in a few paragraphs than you’re likely to find in a year’s worth of the New York Times.

He truly is one of America’s great thinkers.     The man is a national treasure studiously ignored because he is black and conservative.

Enviro-doctrination…

Just in case the clips of school children being taught to sing praises to obama,   now you have a new target — the enviro-Nazis.     Paul Chesser at American Spectator has a  post with all the info and a creepy clip.

If I had children,  I would home-school them.    As it is,  I pester the local school board offices with questions,  and go to meetings when I can.   You should too,  because the liberals/progressives are rooted  deep into the education system.    And there are many schools with administrators who will be fooled by all the smooth prose and have not the slightest idea what they are actually getting.

ACORN’s sinking ship…

leave a comment »

Louisiana’s Attorney General  has landed an iron cannon ball of a subpoena on the deck of the old freighter ACORN.  Follow all the delicious links here.

And now the New Orleans headquarters of ACORN and SEIU is up for sale.   Don   Surber has a link to the listing,  and some photos which show ACORN has taken just as good care of its property as it has its ethics.

Will Congress climb on board the  investigation train?   I’m not holding my breath,  though I found it amusing to see ACORN’s  CEO Bertha Lewis at the National Press Club claiming to be “clean and relatively conpetent.”
