New Pooh?

leave a comment »

Are devotees of the Milne classic tales for children ready for some further adventures from the Hundred Acre Wood?

I have a great fondness for the Winnie the Pooh characters,  having named my cat Tiggah.

Patron-in-chief…

We are in trouble when the mayor of  Chicago has more pull at the White House than our commander in Afghanistan.   Of course,  His Oneness is accustomed to dealing with the machine which made him,  but is providing a timely example of the folly of electing a man to high office when he has no other experience.

One could say that Obama is tending to his future.    Chicago is broke,  and it needs the Olympics to refill its coffers through fees, taxes,  and kick-backs.   If Chicago succeeds in grabbing the games, I think it will finally overtake New Orleans as the most corrupt city in America,  despite the French having reached the Big Easy first.

Obamacare push…

leave a comment »

If you want to know how the Democrats plan to stuff Obamacare through Congress,  Rush Limbaugh lays it out nicely, here.      And make no mistake,  they do mean to push it into law,  no matter what.

And don’t kid yourself  —  they can do a staggering amount of damage before the elections next year,   despite the fact that most of the provisions aren’t scheduled to take effect until 2013,  after the next presidential election.    Of course that’s deliberate.
