Hadley hacked?
It appears the Hadley Climate Center has either been hacked big-time, or an insider friendly to actual science has let out lots of damaging traffic. The Shout First, Ask Questions Later blog has a good collection of links for you.
Sen. Jim Inhofe wasted no time in crowing that he has been right all along. I largely agree with him, having learned eons ago that the more of a crisis proponents attempt to create, the less of one it actually is.
Chris Horner weighs in at BigGovernment, and James Delingpole chimes in at his Telegraph blog. Even the lefty Guardian has a piece up, as does the New York Times, as well as the environmental blog at the Wall Street Journal.
Pray that these revelations put a serious dent in the global management plans of the new EU President, which is what the climate conference at Copenhagen is supposed to help usher in. Senators Boxer and Kerry had already pushed the cap-and-trade bill into next year, and Inhofe just put a broadside right through it. And don’t be fooled by the plain looks of the EU president with the startling name of Herman Van Rompuy, who was handpicked to destroy nationhood.
Chris Horner on warmers…
Pajamas media has a wonderful clip of an interview with Chris Horner of the Competitive Enterprise Institute on the idiocy of the global warmers and climate changers. Chris makes what is supposed to be a “complicated” subject very straightforward.
He takes some well-deserved whacks at Al Gore and the UN’s chief climate change guru and their motivations. He also points out how Obama intends to implement Kyoto II by not calling it a treaty, but an executive order. The clip runs about 16 minutes and is well worth your time.
Good news on envirohysteria…
Americans are slowly beginning to catch on to global warming hysteria.
Of course, Sen. John Kerry, whose carbon footprint with his wife is larger than Al Gore’s, does his best to ignore common sense and insist failure to act on global warming is a “mutual suicide pact.”
And tropical cyclone activity worldwide has decreased to levels not seen since the late 1970s.
The one, delicious, constant is that every time the eco-nazis have a global warming rally, it snows.
Global warming debate…
If you want to see an excellent debate between William Schlesinger and John Christy on global warming, the John Locke organization has the video here. It’s 75 minutes long, but worth your time.
Much shorter is a letter from the former supervisor of NASA warming hysteric James Hansen – it’s a gorgeous smackdown.
Continuing in the same vein, Dr. Tim Ball whacks the $400 million for climate research in the porkulus bill.
Gore-bal warning…
Have you noticed that whenever Al Gore goes to testify about his new religion, which has made him very wealthy, there’s an ice storm, or snow, or some definitively COLD weather event?
His streak continued in DC this week. Ian Murray has a short piece on it:

Gore also wanted the stimulus bill in its entirety passed, apparently thinking his medical records will be safe. They won’t — see here:
http://www.forhealthfreedom.org/
But I’m certain Gore agrees with the Davos participants that capitalism isn’t a very good thing, and the government should run things:

Demand global warming!
John Tomlinson has a wonderfully cheeky column on the absence of global warming, here:

As a bonus, he beautifully explains the two main contortions of the warming/change crowd, and why they’re wrong.
Too bad neither His Oneness, nor anyone in his Cabinet, have a clue about this. Obama believes in global warming; therefore, it is.
Consensus isn’t science…
Regardless of your stance on global warming – oh, they say “climate change” now, since the earth is cooling instead of warming — you need to read the marvelous letter by Mark Campbell, Professor of Chemistry at the United States Naval Academy, here:

Consensus isn’t science, but politics, and anyone who attempts to convince you that consensus without proof has any scientific meaning is a charlatan. And yes, that includes The One’s pick for Energy Secretary, Nobel Prize winning Steven Chu. He may conduct research in alternative energy, but his view on global warming is merely a personal belief, which downgrades his Nobel to the status of Al Gore’s.
